03 — Your note, in our handwriting

Add a gift message at checkout. We'll write it by hand.

When you order the box, there's one small field on the checkout page: "Gift message." Type whatever you want said — Merry Christmas, happy birthday, an inside joke, nothing at all. A person here copies it onto card stock and tucks it under the lid. The price stays $42; the note costs nothing extra.

When exactly will it arrive?

Order by December 15 and we deliver before December 24, anywhere in the US, with shipping free on this box. You'll get tracking as soon as it leaves the roastery, so you can watch the date yourself rather than take our word for it.

Is it ground or whole bean?

Whole bean — that's all Kettleby sells, gift box included. Beans stay freshest unground through transit, and grinding just before you brew makes the biggest difference in the cup. A hand grinder or the grinder on the counter at home is enough.

What if the box arrives late?

If a box ordered by December 15 hasn't arrived by December 24, email us and we'll refund the box. That's the deal we're making when we print a date on this page. Orders placed after the 15th still ship fast, but we can't hold ourselves to Christmas Eve.

Can I pick which coffees go in?

No — and that's deliberate. We pack the three lots we're roasting that week, so nothing sits around going stale before it reaches someone. The tasting card explains what's in each bag and how to brew it.
